Is There Any Point?

I think now is the time to finally tell the truth about my inspirational dry spell. Yes, it is true that I have not submitted anything since March, as ~AlfaSub2 recently pointed out, but the reason for such goes far beyond mere artist's block. I am thoroughly tired of being considered a Nazi soley for my love of U-boats. I am disgusted by the narrow-mindedness of far too many people, and these attacks have sorely wounded my pride. What I want to know now is if there is any point in my continuing on DA. I have been considering leaving for months, and I believe shortly I shall make my final decision. To stay, or not to stay? That, mein kameraden, is the question.

Joachim Schepke was the commander of the highly-successful WWII U-boat U-100. He is remembered far better, though, as what the propaganda ministry was determined to label as the "definitive U-boat commander". He was a close friend of top-scoring U-boat Ace Otto Kretschmer, though since he was...eliminated so early in the war he does not seem to be remembered as much as Otto.
